Michael Ely, MS, CSP
Mike is the Senior Environmental, Health and Safety Manager for ESS. Before joining ESS, Mike spent 5 years as a compliance safety and health officer for the Public Employment Risk Reduction Program, 20 years as an industrial and construction safety consultant and 7 years as the safety technical advisor for the Division of Safety and Hygiene. Mike holds a bachelors degree in business management from Capital University and a master’s degree in occupational safety and health from East Carolina University. He is a Certified Safety Professional and a professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers.
As a Consultant, his services include hazard identification inspections, training, and written program evaluations for all applicable federal OSHA regulations. Mike is an authorized trainer for the federal OSHA General Industry and Construction Standards Outreach Training Program. Mike has trained employers and employees from the public and private sectors and has made presentations around the State of Ohio to a variety of organizations.
